In the first question put = t

1 + x³ = t²

3x² dx = 2t dt

I = 1/3 2t( t² - 1)dt / t

= 1/3 2(t ² - 1)dt

= 2/9 t³ - 2/3 t + c

I also faced the same problem.

N^r = sin 2x + sin 4x

= sin 2x (1 + 2 cos 2x)

D^r = 1 + cos 2x + cos 4x

= cos 2x + 2 cos² 2x

= cos 2x (1 + 2 cos 2x)

Hence the expresion becomes : sin 2x / cos 2x

= tan 2x.
