What will be the ratio of the area of two squares, one having its diagonal double than the other...
Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling.

Suppose diagonals of 1st square = 2x

Suppose diagonal of 2nd square = 2x/2 = x

Area of 1st square =

Area of 2nd square

Their ratio = 2x2 : x2/2  = 4x2 : x2 = 4:1
