I am not fully sure, although I do know something about it, I just want to be certain: Will studying in first year college be enough to crack JEE or do you need to study for JEE separately?

To be precise. I missed JEE by not that large a margin. If I just study what is required for college and don't do anything specifically for JEE maybe except for a month or two. Then is that going to be enough if I am good with my college studies?

i m going for the same thing and what i can infer from the first yr syllabus is that u may have to spend around an hour or so daily to keep remain in touch with the chapters............for that as pink ele rightly said.........sacrifice ur college life and better spend time on the topics not thr in ur engg syllabus

AIEEE 10666 Jaypee Noida. So if I study college regularly and put and hour for JEE everyday extra. Is that enough?

Bro......

If U r gettin into a top 20 cllg den take it...As far as preparing 4 JEE simultaneously is concerned...Its perfectly manageable...I am a livin example...These were my ranks last year: IIT:4241...DCE-CEE:652...AIEEE:12,000(shocker)...BITS:342 marks......I joined DCE Mech as a backup nd joined d VMC dropout batch in Delhi...Dese r my ranks this year:IIT:3651...AIEEE:5851....CEE:937.......Even though my new ranks r nt dt impressive bt i hv only myself 2 blame 4 dt..Gt involved with m band nd all 2 much in d last 3 monthz....Abt half of d students in my batch at VMC were enrolled in DCE/NSIT nd managed ranks under 2000 in IIT-JEE....Its all upto u....Yeah bt u will alwayz hv 2 keep ur JEE studies ur 1st priority....

PS:I managed 65% in my end-sems @ DCE azwell....
