I just passed XII but I'm not satisfied with my marks. I decided to drop a year and improve my performance in CBSE and entrance exams a second shot. I WANT TO WRITE THE CBSE IMPROVEMENT EXAM. So, pls answer my doubts given below.
- When is the improvement exam held ?
- Where can I get the application form from ?
- When is the last date for application ?
- How will be the mark list ?
- Would IIT & other exams accept this mark as eligibility marks ?
Pls reply. Its very URGENT. Rates ASSURED.

If you want to drop a year and are willing to make the effort, fine, go for it. I think IIT and all should accept your new CBSE marks.

risk is when you have something to loose. if he has scored less than 60% in CBSE then it is not a risk.

getting less than 60% in CBSE will take you nowhere. dropping can't make things worse. also just because some parents don't know what is right for their kid doesn't mean everything should follow them.

I am talking of giving CBSE 2009, I have no idea about improvement tests etc. AFAIK they only let you give the improvement test in the subject you failed, else no. I doubt whether IIT will recognize those marks anyway.

ur answers 1)Improvement exams for CBSE 2008 board exams will be held next year (see its like this , suppose CBSE maths exam in 2009 is on 15th march , u will have the exam on same day , same syllabus and same paper as the other 12th students will get)
2)forms will be available either online or any CBSE regional office..
3)last date i dunno
4)how will be the mark list that too i dunno but yeah the criteria will se best of 2 , i.e ur this year marx and next year marx , jo bi accha hoga they will see....
5) Yes IIT will accept those marx as it will be ur final marksheet
improvement exam only those students can give who dun take admission in any college or university in that year u have to sit at home for 1 whole year....
any more queries?????

Yeah, so that is like giving CBSE again. I think IIT should accept the marks, it is somewhat obvious.
