Quick Reference: Differentiation Formulas
 
Basics of differentiation. The derivative of a function is defined as the slope of the function at a particular point. Note: it is not a general property of a function but rather a local property which varies from point to point.
Note: These are the basic formulae. Any problem on calculus is a manipulation of the formulae and a test of your concepts.
