If you want to enter reaserch oriented field go in 4 iit-g.....else from job perspective surathkal seems to b a brighter option...(ie placement wise....)

IIT especially if you plan to do MBA or research after that.

engg physics has very bright future in research in nanotech, plasma physics, photonics et all .... however for all this you will need to get masters degree n preferably Phd ... it depends if u want to go towards the research side or towards the corporate white collar jobs..... if course is of prime importance n u have plans for the future the nit surthkal is the way.... else nothing beats the iit tag in india as of now

c....it all depends on 1 thng...R U WILLING 2 DO FURTHER STUDIES OR NOT????

If yes then go for IIT (coz the tag wch u get out of it matters the most)

If no then u will hav 2 choose bn entering research or going for white collar jobs coz i dont think tht there will be a huge difference in the placements of IIT-G on NIT surathkal....

But if i were u, i would go for IIT-G.....!!!

The inevitable truth of life.....everyone in our life is going 2 hurt sooner or later......u just have 2 realise who is worth.....

the PAIN or the PERSON...!!!

Eng Phy is research oriented..my frnd tuk it in IIT B, n he plans 2 do further studies...If u wish 2 go for MS in US, it is by far da best option, for da Brand IIT works only in case of GRE...placements are more or less same in IITG n NIT S...So for E n CSE jobs, no i dont think they will take u,coz they get students frm these very branches in IITG....

2nd yr, BTech, EEE, NIT Trichy.

There r only 2 sorts of people....those who grumble n weep, n those who Act.
